Procurement Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Manager to join our commercial interior design and build company. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, including sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of materials and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, preferably within the construction or interior design industry. They should have excellent negotiation skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers. This role requires strong leadership qualities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support the company’s goals and objectives in commercial interior design and build projects.|
- Source, evaluate, and select suppliers and subcontractors based on quality, cost, and delivery performance.
- Negotiate and establish favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service level agreements.
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular performance evaluations to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, architects, and designers, to identify project requirements and specifications.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive supplier database, including supplier capabilities, product specifications, and pricing information.
- Monitor market trends and developments to identify new suppliers, materials, and technologies that could enhance the company’s competitiveness and cost efficiency.
- Lead the procurement process from requisition to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment of project requirements.
- Oversee the preparation of purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Monitor and analyze procurement data, such as spend, savings, and supplier performance, to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Develop and implement procurement policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to procurement and supply chain management.
- Provide guidance and support to the procurement team, including training, mentoring, and performance management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar procurement role within the construction or interior design industry.
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, processes, and best practices.
- Familiarity with commercial interior design and build projects, including materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a track record of achieving favorable terms and conditions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficient in using procurement software and systems.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to guide and motivate a team.
